Stainless steel use chromium which makes it resistant to corrosion and oxidation, even in high temperatures.   4. Martensitic- contains 11-13% chromium; it has magnetic properties and is strong and hard with moderate corrosion resistance. Such tubes are used in turbines.
  5. Heat Resistant Tubes- are used for steam environments where temperature is above 550 degrees. They have heat resistant properties, and are used in boilers.
  6. Heat Exchanger Tubes- are resistant to high pressure and aggressive mediums such as acids. They are used in nuclear, chemical, fertilizer, shipping, food processing and petrochemical industries.
  7. Duplex Stainless Steel Tube– have high corrosion resistance properties and have high strength. They have properties of lower thermal expansion and high thermal conductivity. Such tubes are used in chemical processes and seawater applications.
  8. High Pressure Boiler or Condenser Tubes- are particularly used in variable temperature conditions. Such tubes are ideal for acidic or alkali wash systems; are used in boilers and condensers.
  9. U-Bend Tubes- are widely used in heat exchanger systems. They are designed for applications such as steam condensing and hot oil systems. Such a tube is selected when differential expansions make a fixed tube unsuitable.

The stainless steel tubes and pipes have now become a part of every household, office and other places. They are widely used in manufacturing units and industries because of its high resistance to corrosion. They are highly effective and the most important aspect is that they can be available in various sizes and diameters. They have high level of flexibility and are long lasting.

Stainless steel tubes are also used in industries such as aviation, construction, food, petrochemical, electronics, automotive, marine and textile. Nowadays a wide range of decorative art is created from stainless steel pipes. These pipes come in various shapes too; oval rectangular, round and square, depending on the need there is a wide range of choice. The water industry also commonly uses such tubes. The best part about it is that they can be recycled; its scrap can be re-melted to make new products.
